WWW Wednesdays: 13 March 2019

It’s Wednesday friends! I look forward to this post every week because it allows me to double check to see if I am being realistic about my goals (because my TBR is definitely not!) I love being being a part of WWW Wednesday, which is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.

Currently Reading

The Drowning by J.P. Smith – I’m still finishing this one up. It’s definitely a good psychological thriller. The MC, Alex, I really don’t like because he’s arrogant and selfish. I want him to get everything that he deserves.

Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout – I was in absolute shock when I was approved for this on NetGalley. I just started it, and immediately I had forgotten how much I LOVE her writing. The MC, Trinity, is a badass, strong heroine that I’m already rooting for. I can’t wait to see how this story unfold.

Recently Finished

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren (eARC) – 5 stars. This was book by Christina Lauren, and OMG, it will not be the last. I literally do not have one negative thing to say about this book. I binged this book on Friday night, and it was incredible. This enemies to lovers trope is full of quick wit, romance, heartbreak, and betrayal. My review will be coming soon!

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens – 3.5 stars. I finally succumbed to the staggering hype surround this book and read the book in its entirety on Sunday. I was incredibly apprehensive of this book because of the accolades this book has received in such a short time span. This book is a good read, and I do think it’s one that people should read because it transcends preferred genres. That being said, I wasn’t moved by this book. Review is coming soon!

Do You Dream of Terra-Two? by Temi Oh (ARC) – 4 stars. It’s hard to believe that this is a debut novel. This sci-fi is not the action packed alien invasion that I presumed it to be. Rather, this story focuses on the relationships forged and shattered on the 25 year beta-colonization mission of Terra-Two, which inevitably will have problems of its own. Here is my review.

Up Next to Read:

More ARCs in, which means musical chairs for my TBR!

Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (eARC) – Let’s be real honest for a second. When I saw that I was approved for this book, I was SCREAMING! I didn’t think that I would be so fortunate to be allowed access to such a gem. I will be savouring every second of this story. Be prepared, I may just be yelling at you to buy this book.

Redemption Point by Candice Fox (ARC) – This was a Bookish First win. I was blown away by the amount of action in the first few pages that I was hoping to get my hands on this book! I am definitely looking forward to diving into this story.

Have you read any of these books? Are any of these on your TBR? Also, please leave your WWW Wednesday links in the comments.
