WWW Wednesday: 22 January 2020

Hello everyone! I’ve missed taking part in this awesome weekly meme, so here is my first one of the year!

Just as a reminder WWW Wednesday is a meme sponsored by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. To take part, you just have to answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you will read next?

Currently Reading

  • Lies That Bind by Ashley Farley (ARC) – finishing this one up. I find the stories of the three women that are followed to be engrossing and incredibly realistic. Review to coming this week!
  • Blood Countess by Lana Popović (ARC) – 100 pages in and loving this one so far! I have been DYING to read this Countess Elizabeth Bathory retelling.
  • Follow Me to Ground by by Sue Rainsford (eARC) – I’m only a few chapters into this one, and I am already like, omg, wtf?! This one is getting weird fast, and I’m here for it.

Recently Finished Reading

  • Echoes Between Us by Katie McGarry (audiobook) – 3 stars. I was a bit disappointed with this. I was wanting a paranormal story with a side of romance. I got an over the top teen romance with sprinkles of ghosts. Review coming this week.
  • Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir (audiobook) – 5 stars. I NEED more Gideon and Harrow in my life. Also, Moira Quirk was the PERFECT narrator for this book. I can’t recommend this enough! Review coming this week.
  • Riot Baby by Tochi Onyebuchi (ARC) – 4.5 stars. THIS BOOK! Everyone needs to read this book. It is a raw and honest account of growing up in Black America. Here’s my review.
  • Tweet Cute by Emma Lord (eARC) – 4 stars. I can’t say enough good things about this one because it was such a fun, light-hearted rom-com. It was so good. And it made me soooo hungry! Here’s my review.

  1. I’ll confess, I have yet to read Tamsyn Muir’s masterpieces! And oh, wow, I didn’t know Lana Popović had a new book coming out! Now I’m excited. 🙂 I adored the Hibiscus Daughter duology. Popović has this way of writing that often makes bizarre sound magical and plausible. I really want to see what she does with this legend.
    Happy reading!
Do check my WWW if interested. 🙂
