WWW Wednesday: 25 March 2020

Hello Hello! Welcome to another fabulous WWW Wednesday! Just in case anyone needs a refresher, WWW Wednesday is a meme sponsored by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. To take part, you just have to answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you will read next?

Currently Reading

  • Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon – I am PISSED at myself for not reading this absolute work of art before now. I am trying not to completely devour this one in days because everything from the world building to the writing is absolute heaven.
  • Lakewood by Megan Giddings (ARC) – I’ve been slow with this one. It’s not that it isn’t good, it’s just emotionally taxing reading about yet another situation where oppressed people are taken advantage of (in this case it’s medical experimentation).

Recently Finished Reading

  • Revenger by Alastair Reynolds (ebook) – 2.5 stars. This book was such a slog for me. It was scattered brained, inconsistent, and didn’t really make any sense until that last section. I brute forced myself through this one and was utterly disappointed. I am still amazed that this was written by an actual scientist because it definitely came across as juvenile and lacking research.
  • Saving Eden b K.R.S. McEntire – 3.5 stars. This post-apocalyptic story is a bit slow to start but really takes off. The characters were fantastic, and I found myself fully engrossed by the end. Revie to come!

Up Next to Read

Have you read any of these? Are any of these on your TBR? Let’s discuss!
